Just because you have a cat doesn’t mean that your house needs to be filled with ugly, torn-up furniture and scratched-up carpets. The trick is to design a cat-friendly home where both you and your feline friend can be comfortable.
Enter Jackson Galaxy, cat behaviorist and star of Animal Planet’s My Cat From Hell, and cat style expert Kate Benjamin and their idea of “Catification.”
“Catification is about creating feline-friendly environments that cater to a cat’s natural instincts to climb, perch, rest, play, and own their space,” says their Catification column. And, simply put, creating a space where your cat can express his natural instincts makes it easier for you to have nice things because your cat will be less likely to act out.
